Away from the hustle and bustle of life to the quietness and rest of the incredible mountain landscapes! Our goal is, that you will experience the magic of the mountains.
Day trip
With just a light backpack into the healthy outside air. After a day full of astonishing panoramas you’ll return satisfied to your own accommodation! Our day trips are divided into three categories, namely: green, blue and red.
Hut trips
Multi-day trips will take you to magnificent places you cannot go with a (cable) car. Once arrived at an atmospheric mountain hut to stay overnight, it’s time to relax! Our hut trips can be divided into two categories, namely: blue and red.

Day trips
- Sigmund-Thun-Klamm and Panorama road Kaprun. Distance 10 km.
- Klamsee-Eder Grundalm. Distance 12 km.
- Thumersbach-Schwalbenwand. Distance 12 km.
Hut trips
- Hollersbach-Kratzenbergsee (2 days). Distance 23 km.
- Fusch-Kaprun (2 days). Distance 20 km.
- Kolm-Saigurn (2 days). Distance 25 km.
Day trips
Thumersbach-Schwalbenwand
A car ride with beautiful views over the valley of Thumersbach and the lake of Zell am See leads to Mitterberghof (1200m altitude), the starting point of this hike. After a while in the forest the cross at the top of Schwalbenwand can be seen. This is a starting point for paragliders. It is fun to watch them go flying during our well-deserved break! The trail continues for the next hour over the ridge of the mountain to Schönwieskopf. At one side Hochkönig can be seen, on the other side Kitzsteinhorn and Groβglockner. During the descend these images will surely come to mind again!
Klammsee-Eder Grundalm
We leave the azure blue water behind us for a challenging climb. On our way up we pass by a big waterfall. At the Eder Grundalm mountain hut it is time for a break. Homemade schnapps is one of the things on the menu we can highly recommend. The route leads us further on a road with impressive views over Kaprun, Zell am See and the dams. With a bit of luck the local marmot will show up as well!
Sigmund-Thun-Klamm and Panoramaweg
Breathtaking hike through a gorge cut out by ice, snow and melt water. At the end of the gorge we go around the lake with azure blue water. Afterwards we leave the gorge behind us and get to the Panorama Road. From here we can look over Kaprun, Zell am See and the surrounding mountains. The end of the hike is the center of Kaprun, where we may enjoy a well-deserved bite and drink!
Hut trips
Kolm Saigurn
(2 days)
A hike with lots of variety through very special nature. In the beginning of the trip the surroundings are rich with waterfalls, that we pass up close. After a long climb we arrive at the highest point of this hike, and face a big glacier with blue ice. In addition, we get to see the remains of a former gold-digging village! After an overnight stay with halfboard in the modern mountain hut Schutzhaus (2175m altitude) with a splendid vista, we descend to a magnificent, swampy forest with many ponds and experiences.
Fusch-Kaprun
(2 days)
The hike starts with a steep climb through a forest. Then a fairytale landscape is awaiting us. At the fields surrounded by high mountains beautiful flowers are blooming, and cows are grazing peacefully. After spending the night at 2176m altitude in the authentic Gleiwitzerhütte, we descend in the direction of Kaprun. Different glaciers of the National Park Hohe Tauern seem to be within reach!
Hollersbachtal-Kratzenbergsee
(2 days)
The hike starts in a beautiful valley, with a river running through. A little further into the valley you can see, that the river stems from 4(!) different waterfalls. One of these waterfalls is near the trail up the rough mountain. Once we arrive at the top, we check in at the Neue Fürther Hütte. This mountain hut is at 2201m altitude at the Kratzenbergsee. Many hikers like to take a dip in this big, but cold lake!
