A squirrel runs in front of the car to the other side of the road and disappears in the trees. We pass by the lake of Zell am See in the direction of Thumersbach. A beautiful hike to the Schwalbenwand is awaiting us!
After a challenging climb through the forest we arrive at a stunning viewpoint: the Schwalbenwand. Very soon we learn we are not the only ones out here. Beside other hikers many paragliders have gathered! A little jealous I watch them running down the mountain to get taken by the thermal of the wind. That must be such a great experience!
We continue our hike over a ridge and enjoy the breathtaking views. While descending we stop for a dip in the cold water…
All in all we were gone for 6 hours. We took our time to enjoy the many magnificent views. Looking forward to the next time out here!
